WWE Superstars 12/2/16 Review

Air Date: 12/2/16

Last week’s show was a hell of a lot of fun, hopefully this show can deliver as well.

The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) vs. Fandango and Damien Sandow

It’s good to see Sandow back in full intellectual saviour gimmick. He seems to be working as a face and was pretty damn over considering he hasn’t been on TV in months. This was almost a total squash by Konnor and Viktor though, with some short bursts of offence from the faces. Just a match in every sense of the word. Viktor pins Sandow with the Fall of Man **

After a couple of video packages we head to a rematch from last week’s surprisingly fun main event.

Stardust vs. Zack Ryder

Another fun outing between these two guys, I liked that Stardust started the match a little cockier than usual after having beaten Ryder last week, who for his part was a little more serious and intense. However once the match got going we never got back to those ideas which let me down a little. This again followed had a very simple and straight forward match structure, and while it wasn’t quite as well executed this time round it was still an enjoyable watch. These two are now 1-1 and I would actually really like to see the rubber match. Zack Ryder pins Stardust with the Rough Ryder ** ¾

We get a re-airing of the Daniel Bryan retirement from RAW, which still makes me tear up a little even though I’ve watched it four or five times now.

Overall: 5.0

A bit of a step down from last week, but Stardust and Zack Ryder delivered once again in the main event and make this show worth watching.
