WWE Main Event 2/2/16 Review

Air Date: 2/2/16

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and The Prime Time Players (Titus O’Neil and Darren Young) vs. The Cosmic Wasteland (Stardust, Konnor, and Viktor) and Tyler Breeze

What a wacky collection of people. I wonder what Konnor and Tyler Breeze talk about. It’s at least good to see The Prime Time Players haven’t broken up yet, even if Titus has been mostly working as a singles guy unfortunately. This was a fairly by the numbers multiman tag, nothing bad but very skippable. All the faces got time to shine in the finishing stretch and Titus looked like an absolute monster throwing around Breeze and Stardust, he works best as a hot tag so I hope PTP stay together for a bit. Titus pins Stardust with Clash of the Titus ** ¼

Team BAD are backstage with JoJo talking about Sasha Banks’ betrayal from RAW and their upcoming tag match tonight. These girls really can’t talk at all.

Jack Swagger vs. Fandango

Pretty quick squash match here, which is a shame since I feel like these two could do something really good if given time. Jack Swagger makes Fandango submit * ¾

Paige and Natalya vs. Team BAD (Naomi and Tamina)

This match got a hell of a lot of time and I really don’t know why. There were a couple of good segments, mostly the stuff not involving Tamina, but those spots felt too few and far between because of the length of the match. Because these girls never really work longer matches it’s obvious they don’t really know what to do in those situations and basically put on extended versions of their shorter matches. Naomi makes Natalya submit ** ½

Overall: 4.5

This was maybe the most skippable episode of Main Event in a while, everything felt like filler and was just kind of there.
