Air Date: 16/1/16
The show starts with Kevin Kelly and Mr Wrestling 3 hyping the Philly Street Fight main event tonight.
The Addiction (Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels w/Chris Sabin) vs. ACH and Alex Shelley
There was a lot of Motorcity chants from the crowd throughout this match, and Sabin teased getting involved when Shelley was in. This Sabin/Shelley angle has been teased a lot but as of yet nothing has really come of it which is a little annoying. This was a fine opening match, with a lot of good stuff from ACH and Daniels who were really the stars of the match for me. Christopher Daniels pins ACH after interference from Chris Sabin ** ½
After the match The Addiction and Sabin attack Shelley, Nigel interrupts and suspends Daniels.
Adam Page (w/BJ Whitmer and Colby Corino) vs. Mark Briscoe
This match felt like it went far longer than it needed to and the crowd wasn’t super into it. Don’t get me wrong, it was well worked and had some fun moments but the match was more of a backdrop for the BJ Whitmer/Steve Corino angle with Whitmer arguing Mr Wrestling 3 is Steve Corino. Mark Briscoe wins with a Froggy Bow **
After a commercial break Whitmer and his crew are in the ring being booed out of the building. Whitmer calls out Mr Wrestling 3 for being Steve Corino. They have a back and forth with Wrestling 3 saying that he knows someone who will beat Whitmer, this angle has gone on for a while now and I am not really that into it so hopefully it finally ends soon.
Silas Young is out looking like a homeless man talking about the betrayal of The Boys at Final Battle. He gives them a chance to come back to him. Fine segment.
The Kingdom (Michael Bennett and Adam Cole w/Maria Kanellis and Matt Taven) vs. ReDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson)(Philly Street Fight)
The Bucks attack ReDRagon as they are making their entrance and kill everyone with superkicks, so this match started out hot. This was Bennett and Maria’s send off from RoH and what a great way to go out, with superkicks flying everywhere and so incredible spots, just a chaotic match that never slowed down. And I mean that in the best way possible. AJ Styles ran in towards the end to help hit Bennett with a Fatality and Maria with a crazy Meltzer Driver, this was also his last appearance on RoH TV. Watch this match. The Young Bucks pins Bennett after a Fatality **** ¼
If it wasn’t for the main event this would’ve been a dud of a shot, but holy shit did that deliver. It was a great way to send off one of the best valets in wrestling in Maria and someone who never really got the push he deserved in Bennett.
